The department encompasses several key areas, from the facilitation of customer registration, subscription management to accounting applications. Purpose of the role:
The Lead Software Developer leads and manages a self-organising Agile/Kanban team of developers responsible for building websites, APIs and frameworks for the Yew Technologies Ltd welcome sequence. The lead developer works within the team of developers, QAs and the Product team using a variety of web technologies (frontend and backend) and a Hypothesis Driven Engineering approach on highly visible projects to deliver aonline accounting tool to our users.

You will be responsible for:
The position will involve the following areas of responsibility:
• Responsible for understanding the overall solution and integration with business processes.
• Responsible to manage system integration delivery and sign off architecture project deliverables.
• Provide quality assurance reviews on proposed designs and design assurance governance.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Responsible for the overall design of the lead to invoice solution and transforming customer’s requirements into a largely cloud based architecture.
• Evaluate the legacy system and collaborate with business team members to understand the technical requirement specification.
• Responsible for embedding change within an organisation through training, workshops and communication strategies.
• To ensure coherent, realistic and appropriately resourced change plans, fully integrated into delivery planning across the programme.
• Collect and refine functional requirements, identifies and resolves functional and/or technical gaps in the solution.
• To be responsive to changing needs of the business and equip the team to be likewise.

You will have (Essential skills):
Highly proficient in 5 of the following criteria:
• Web Development with C# .Net Core and/or ASP.Net MVC 4.0 or higher
• Web Development with a modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular etc)
• Azure
• Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Unit Testing (NUnit, MS Test, Jasmine, Moq)
• Web Development with modern CSS tools (SASS, LESS, etc)
• Microsoft SQL Server
• All behavioural competencies are also essential

Other essential requirements:
• Experience managing people to deliver a project
• Great leadership skills
• Full life cycle of a software product experience, from planning to release and maintenance
• Versatile developer, able and willing to work across multiple technologies and aspects of products
• Great mentoring skills
• Good communication skills
• Interpersonal skills

It would be a bonus if you also had (Desirable skills):
• Visual Studio experience
• Agile/Scrum/Kanban experience
• Source control systems (Git) experience
• Good presenting skills
• Relevant certification
